I'm Baaack!

Well obviously you know from the title...I am back! HAHA.

 I took a little time off from blogging because I just didn't have it in me. Connor had a relapse after his surgery..spent the night in the hospital and totally scared the crap out of the whole family. It took a little longer than expected to get him all better, but better he is! :-)

While I was off on my little break, I decided that I don't like my job. I in fact hate my job! So I am on a mission to find something that better suits me. I am also getting some "stock" made up so I can get my etsy shop going. I am really really excited about that!!! Maybe, just maybe, I can start earning enough from etsy to go part time for work. That would be wonderful. I have a lot of pictures to post of my most recent projects and I will get to that before too long.

I am missing my YouTube haul videos :-(....

I have been on a shopping ban for the last two months. I am NOT doing well with it AT ALL! I think I am going to cave and do a little shopping tomorrow, I don't know yet. I know I shouldn't but damn it...I want to! HAHA

Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that I am still here and I will be doing my best to post regularly. Wish me luck on my etsy shop...Im gonna need it.

What A Week!

So I have been MIA for about a week now I suppose. So much has been going on here. Connor's surgery was the 14th and wow! Everyone tried to prepare us for what to expect but I guess you never really know what something is like until you experience it for yourself and everyone reacts differently to everything so we really didn't know what we were going to be dealing with. Well we have definitely had our hands full this weekend. Connor is such a trooper though. He is being such a great little guy through all of this.

I think it's going to take the full two weeks to recover for him because once he

starts feeling a little better he wants to talk and talk and talk. Not only talk but he wants to get up and walk around and be normal Connor. It is so exhausting for me trying to keep him down relaxing..lol.

It's a darn shame he has more energy three days after surgery than I do on a normal day. I really need to figure out a way to bottle up his energy so I can take a shot or two of it everyday :-)

Mom came out on Friday and stayed until today. It was really nice having the extra help so Brian and I could rest a little here and there. Connor really loved having Gramma here. It was a big comfort for him. I also got to do some crafting to settle my mind down a little bit. I didn't get much done of course because I couldn't really concentrate on my project. My mind was busy with my baby boy.

I will probably take a few more days off to devote my time to him but I won't be far away. Next week I will be back with some project shares. Until then....

So excited!!

OMG ladies!!!! I got so much accomplished over the weekend! Project pics coming soon. I now have 26 subscribers to my YouTube channel....YAY!!! And I am sorry to say that I have CAVED soooo much on my shopping ban. I went back to Michaels yet again and got some more goodies! Videos coming soon on that as well.

Short post today, have to make the munchkins dinner and get some more cards made.

Self Control!

I am so proud of myself! I wandered over to scrapbuck.com and I had my cart loaded with all of their mat packs. Instead of getting my debit card out...I closed the page! I really can't believe I was able to do it. I'm not looking back. I have made a promise to myself that I will not buy another "crafty" item (unless I need it to complete a project ) until I have my "project box" empty. I will post a pic of my "project box" so you know what I am talking about.

I am doing pretty good on not buying anything "crafty".

Well alright, I will be honest and tell you that I just broke down and used a coupon at JoAnn's to buy myself a Martha Stewart Scoreboard. But my justification for that is...It was 40% off, so it doesn't count! HAHA

Anyway, my "project box" is full of stuff for me to work on. I hit some yard sales over the weekend and I got tons of post-it notes. So I have been trying to come up with a new way to make a little cover for them. I think I finally have my idea worked out so I will start with those. I think

I also have a frame or two in there and maybe some file folders and paper bags.

I have a few ideas for those as well but that will be more time consuming, and time has not been on my side lately.

Ok enough rambling for now. Off to bed I go!

My VERY FIRST Mini Album

This is how it started...

Simple deposit envelope from the credit union.

I folded them in half and cut a little sliver off to make them 4 1/2 inches.

Next I layered them on top of each other

I used Zig 2 way glue to adhere them together. ( I got this idea from Mary over at Cardz Tv)

Once I got them all layered on top of each other, I picked out my paper. I chose a $5.00 paper pack from Walmart.

I thought this paper pack was so cute!

Then I added the paper and this is what we got....drumroll please!!!!!

I will have to add the embelleshments once I know what pictures I will use for this album.

I also have to make the tags still but I will have to do that tomorrow.

A Little ReWorking

I have been up and down trying to decide whether to continue blogging or not. I have decided for the time being that I am going to continue. I really do love being able to come here and write down my thoughts and share my projects with you wonderful ladies. I did start a facebook page but I'm not sure if  I'm liking that just yet. We will see what happens with that.

Anyway...I did a little re-working on my blog and I hope you guys like what I have done. My videos are now located on their own page!! I just thought it would be better to separate them. Tell me what you think!

Some of My Projects

These are just some of the projects I got done over the past few weeks. I have plenty more in the works but I won't show them till they are done.

 This is a simple little Notebook made with index cards.

 I glittered up some of the spots just to add a little bling.

I added ribbon to hide the binding rings.

I think this is soooo cute! But I am the one that made it so I might be giving myself too much credit. HAHA.

 This is another little Notebook made with index cards.

 I added Glossy Accents to some of the stripes to add a little extra pop to the cover.

I also added ribbon to the binding rings for this notebook. But of course I didn't get them in the picture. :-(

These Flowers are made from ribbon. I just used my hot glue gun to keep them

together. Sorry the picture is so blurry. New camera where the heck are ya????

I used 8 scalloped circles to make these cute little flowers. One scalloped circle is on the bottom and the other 7  get cut in half and get rolled into cone shapes and then glued down. Very easy

flower to make and they can be used for soooo many

things. I think this is one of my favorite paper flowers.

Well thats all I have done for now. I am going to be in the crafting room a lot this week because I have a ton of stuff  to finish up.

I can't start anything else until those projects are finished and I have to re-arrange my craft room. I think I will show pics when I get it all done. Thanks for stopping by!

Father's Day

I had a little spare time today so I thought I would really quickly make my Father-In-Laws

Father's Day card. I had to keep it very simple because he isn't a flashy kind of guy so this is what I did.

I have seen everyone making this cute little shirt so of course I had to try it myself. And I thought it was perfect for him.

Oh My Goodness!!!!

Do you ladies want to hear how wonderful my husband is? If you don't please leave now.

So a local scrapbooking store is going out of business and I told Brian we should go out there and just check it out. So we all hopped in the truck and headed out. He pull up in front of store and he just looks at me and says well are you going to get out or what?! So I did...I thought we were all going to go in and take a look around but whatever. So I get in there and I see the signs that say everything is 50% off. I am thinking that I am not going to really buy anything unless I see a Must have. I turn my head for some reason and who do I see standing in the corner looking at all the goodies???? Yep, that's right. My Husband!

Now let me tell you that he has sworn to me that he would NEVER EVER enter a craft store with me!
I have never been more proud to call Brian my husband than I was for that hour in the scrapbooking store.
He was looking at every item picking out papers and embellishments, giving his opinion on everything I looked at and get this...He was actually encouraging me to buy more stuff!!!!!!!

Never in 12 million years would I have thought that he would be encouraging me to spend money, especially on scrapbooking. He was checking out the wire racks and shelving so he could bling up my craft room and I was just amazed! I had to draw the line and not let him get the shelving. I wanted more money to spend on the good stuff.

I emptied an entire end cap full of Cinch binding rings...HAHAHAHA. Gonna do a video tonight to show you all the great deals.

GOOD GOLLY MS. MOLLY...IT"S HOT OUTSIDE

OMG! It is sooooooooo HOT out!  Its the type of heat that takes your breath away when it hits you in the face. So with that being said, I want to give a great big shout out to the person or persons responsible for inventing the central air system! I LOVE YOU!!

I have a feeling the "crafting gods" brought on all this heat so that I would be stuck in the house to finish up some lingering projects. Like for instance...the two packages I was supposed to send out Monday..still not done! My moms graduation album...still not done! And also a very special surprise gift for my dear friend Sarah...still not ready!!!!

So why am I on the computer updating my blog instead of finishing up???? Who knows!!!!!

I guess I better get to it huh?! Yep I agree...until next time......

I am such a slacker....

My goodness!!!! I have seriously got to get my behind in gear! I have two packages to finish up and send out and I also have three special gifts that I have make ALL BY NEXT WEEKEND! That's my deadline. I have to get the packages out MONDAY. No more excuses! Brittany and Theresa....be watching your mail boxes!!!

I will post pics of the special gifts I am making and I will also post pics of the contents of the  packages once the recipients receive them. I wont ruin the surprise for them by posting pics

of their packages before they get them...that would totally SUCK!

I'm Still Here....

Oh my goodness ladies! It has been 12 days since my last post!!! I have a few things to share just haven't had the time to get pictures and videos. I am going to try really really really hard to get them up sometime this weekend. I hate working all day and trying to squeeze in crafting. Why can't I just craft and squeeze in working HAHA. That would be wonderful!

Well I have to run some errands really quickly but then when I get home I am going to shoot a couple videos. I received a package from Brittany and I JUST HAVE to shoot a video on that.

Hey there ladies! Hope you are doing well.

I don't have a project to post today but I do have some things on my mind that I MUST share.

 When I started my blog I was hoping to meet tons of fellow crafters and have a great time. While I am having a great time, I have changed my view on the "TONS" of fellow crafters.

I am open to meeting new and exciting people all the time however, I have to say that I am truly blessed with the few followers I do have. 

Not only can I say that they are my followers but I can honestly say that they are my friends. 

I would much rather have a handful of friends than a thousand followers.

You ladies are truly a blessing and I am so very thankful to have been given the opportunity to get to know you. I can only hope that our friendships will grow more over time.

Cardz TV NSD Challenge

I know this isn't much but I was in a panic to hurry and get something submitted for the NSD Challenge over at Cardz TV- http://cardztv.blogspot.com/ . I haven't had any time this past week to get anything in the craft room done. With starting my new job and having a very ill 7 yr old, I have barely had enough time to sleep. I was really excited to see that Mary left her challenge open for an extra day. So with only an hour left to get my submission in.... this is what I came up with. Just a simple little note card.

I left the inside of the card blank so that I could use it for any occassion.

Soooo Much Fun!!!

I am just having a ball making my videos for YouTube. I need to stop shopping and actually make something! I haven't done any crafting in awhile so my goal is to get a very cool slider card done this weekend so I can show you guys how stinkin cute it is.

Happy Mother's Day

I hope all of you have had a very HAPPY Mother's Day. Mine has been terrific. My husband, the wonderful man that he is, wanted to surprise me early. So on Saturday morning I woke up to my phone ringing and ringing and ringing. It was Brian! I didn't know what was going on. Why was he calling me at 9 am when he was in the living room? Well...He had the kids up, dressed and at Joann's waiting for them to open. He knew I wanted some sort of binding machine but he didn't know what to tell the saleswoman when she asked what he needed. So he had to ruin his surprise and call to ask me. AWE! How sweet!!!

Joann's ended up not having it so he then went to Hobby Lobby and then to Michael's. I was so impressed that he even knew where these stores were located let alone actually going inside!

I was so very happy! I ended up not getting the Cinch because Hobby Lobby was the only place to have it and I refused to let him buy it without a coupon...lol.

So tomorrow I will get my Cinch, WITH my 40% off coupon. Yay!

I guess he really does listen to me ramble.

That man is the reason my life is so great. I love him dearly and I am so appreciative!

My children, also the reason my life is so great, brought me breakfast in bed this morning. Orange flavored cinnamon rolls...YUM! A little burnt on the bottom, but that made them even more special to me. I ate every bite of both of them. ;-)

We then went downstairs to make cards for my mom and my daughter's step mom. Connor abandoned us as soon as he heard other kids playing outside..hahaha, but Erica sat there with me and helped me finish everything up. I think she loves crafting just as much as I do.

It was such a beautiful day! The sun was shinning all day and actually still is. I am exhausted and Connor is beat. Erica got to spend the evening with her step mom and I am sure she is exhausted as well. I think we will all sleep great night.

I couldn't have dreamt a better day!

So I didn't realize that uploading a video to YouTube and Blogger

would take so stinkin long! I am working on 20 minutes uploading now and still have about 15 to go. WOW!!!

Maybe there is something I don't know. I guess that's something I will have to check into. Well anyway, a video will be posted as soon as I get this to finish up.

I really don't know why but I am quite nervous..hahaha

What A Night!

Since I couldn't sleep last night because I was waiting for the storm we were supposed to get ( I am a big chicken when it comes to storms) I decided to pass my time by doing some crafting. I got a lot done but it doesn't seem like I got too far. Does that make sense? I don't know if my mind was just so pre-occupied with the storm or what my deal was but I had three different projects going all at the same time. I finished a note card holder and started on two envelope mini albums and a paper bag mini album. I managed to screw up the one envelope mini half way through so I set it aside until I was awake enough to think of a way to fix it. The other envelope mini and the paper bag mini just got adhered together. I'm not really sure what I am going to do with those yet but they are sitting on my table just staring at me now.

I have several projects that I want to post this week but I'm just not sure how I am going to get everything done. We have 3 baseball games scheduled for this week and the official start of the season is on Saturday. Those little guys and this mommy are going to be exhausted!

I have been searching for a tripod so that I can post a video but I haven't had too much luck with that. I think I can do a little mini video by just holding the camera but I'm not sure how well that will go. I'm pretty sure I am going to try it out just to see.

Well I guess that's enough rambling on for this morning. I think I am going to get some laundry done and while I am waiting on that, I just might head on down to the crafting table again and see what I can squeeze in.

Mother's Day Challenge Project

This is the project I did for Mary's Mother's Day Challenge. Check out my last post for her link. :)

I know this is a horrible picture and I apologize! I was rushing to get this entered before the deadline because that's me...waiting until the last minute to get everything done. Anyway, it is very dark in the house no matter how many lights I turn on. I am still trying to figure out how to use my camera functions properly also.

Alright now that I am done rambling...let me tell you about my project. I had an idea in mind but at the last minute I changed my mind. I decided I would make my mother an album for her Mother's Day gift this year. So I ran on over to Dollar General and picked up a $1.00 picture album. I removed the covers and simply added cardstock. I used my Cricut and the Forever Young cartridge to make the flowers and I just added a brad to the center. I printed out the Happy Mother's Day from Word on the computer and that's about it. Very Simple, Very Cute, and best of all...Very Inexpensive.

Can't Wait To Get Started!

Well I thought I would have a video up by now but the kids WOULD NOT sleep this week, CAN WE SAY FRUSTRATING!!! Anyway, I will be getting started on a very special project this weekend. I will be doing my first challenge with Mary over at www.cardztv.blogspot.com . It is a Mothers Day project using the colors; Purple (my favorite) Green, Blue and White. I have an idea in mind and I really hope it works out. I guess we will see this weekend !! I have learned so much from Mary so I am very excited to do my first project challenge with her. Intro

Hey there, thanks for stoppin by!!!
This first post will be short and sweet and then after everything is all set up, I will get down to the nitty gritty :-).

I decided to jump into the world of scrapbooking about two months ago. I loved scrapbooking but then... I started searching the internet for ideas and tips and such. I quickly found out that there are sooo many things that can be done with paper! So I have been craftin my little behind off!!  

So anyway, the purpose of starting this blog is to share my projects, meet new and wonderful people, and simply to have a great time.
I owe everything I know to all the great bloggers and YouTubers so I will definitely have a lot of "tribute" projects.
